The Fondation Autisme Luxembourg (FAL) was founded on 18 June 1996 on the initiative of a group of parents directly affected by this disorder. Faced with a lack of structures and services for people with autism in Luxembourg, they came together at the time to try to address it. In our Foundation, we have 2 activities that can be likened to peer support: Social skills training group for teenagers OR adults with autism spectrum disorder without intellectual disability: those groups are run by professionals but aims, among other things, to enable people with ASD to share their experiences with each other; and Themed workshop-meetings for parents: also run by professionals, to pass on useful practical information while encouraging families to share their own experiences.
