The mental health center (CDZ) is an intermediate link between primary care, including outpatient psychiatric care, and inpatient – acute and specialized care. Its function is the prevention of hospitalizations or their shortening and assistance in the reintegration of long-term hospitalized patients into the normal community. To ensure this goal, it cooperates with other necessary entities and services, both specialized and those intended for the general population in the areas of employment, peer support, education, housing, leisure activities, etc.
