The PAT project aims to support the integration of professional paid peer workers into existing teams of the social-health sector. The PAT project offers: peer-support trainings for anyone interested in this topic (peer workers, future peer workers, team managers out of the psycho-medico-social sector); guidance for organizations interested in taking a step further and willing to hire a peer worker: concrete help to write the job description of the coming peer worker, active support to the development of the operating framework, support during the full process, from the analysis of the specific needs of the institution to the effective recruiting of the peer worker; and group intervisions for peer workers and for team managers. Its guidance is free of charge and customized to the specific needs of each organization. The PAT project is currently active in Belgium, both in the Region of Brussels Capital City and the Region of Wallonia.
